Black Stars captain sympathises with Kotoko after fatal accident

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has paid tribute to Asante Kotoko after suffering a fatal motor accident on Wednesday night while returning from Accra after a league game against Inter Allies.

The Porcupine Warriors were involved in an accident at Nkawkaw with unconfirmed reports suggesting that a member of the team is feared dead.

Asante Kotoko captain, Amos Frimpong, and teammates Baba Mahama and Ahmed Adams reportedly sustained severe injuries and were rushed to the Holy Family Hospital at Nkawkaw for treatment.

Asante Kotoko played out a 1:0 defeat to Inter Allies at the El Wak stadium, and were returning to prepare ahead of their match day 23 game against rivals Accra Hearts of Oak.

And Ghana captain, Asamoah Gyan wished the entire playing body of the club well by tweeting..."my thoughts and prayers are with the  management, playing body and the supporters of Kumasi Asante Kotoko on this fatal accident."
